Please select one of the Membership Types below to get started. Not sure which is appropriate for you? Here's a quick overview:

• Regular:  Regular membership is available to individuals who are registered nurses, pay dues, and are engaged in pursuits which further the purposes of the Association. Regular members may vote, serve on committees and seek election to the Board of Directors. Discounted 2-year and 3-year memberships are available.
  • Military:  RNs who are on active duty in the Military (Armed Forces DOD) are eligible for a reduced membership rate. Contact APNA at 855-863-2762 for more information.
• Affiliate:  Affiliate membership is available to individuals who are interested in the organization as mental health or health professionals who are not registered nurses. Affiliate members receive the same benefits but may not vote or hold office. Discounted 2-year and 3-year memberships are available.
• International:  International membership is available to individuals who are not citizens of the United States and are licensed or registered to practice nursing outside of the US. International members vote, serve on committees and seek election to the Board of Directors. Discounted 2-year and 3-year memberships are available.
• Retired:  Retired membership is available to individuals who are not working, as defined by Merriam-Webster. Regular members may vote, serve on committees and seek election to the Board of Directors.
• Student:  Student membership is available to individuals who are engaged in full-time study in a nursing degree program and show evidence of full-time student status. There is a separate membership application process which includes a current verification document upload. Student members may not seek election to the Board but may serve on committees, councils, and task forces. Student members who are registered nurses may vote.
